Software with a heartbeat
Every animal has a name.
Every name has a story.
Mooshi is shelter management with named-animal sponsorship built into its bones. One platform for your animals, your volunteers, your donors, and the stories that connect them.
Shelters run on heart
and duct tape
The average small shelter stitches together 3 to 5 disconnected tools just to keep the lights on. One for animals, one for volunteers, one for donations, one for emails, one for payments. None of them talk to each other.
One platform. Everything connected. Nothing falls through the cracks.
How it works
Built around the animal, not the admin
One record per animal
Intake to adoption in a single connected profile. Photos, medical notes, behavior logs, sponsorship progress — all in one place.
QR cards & volunteer logging
Print a kennel card with a QR code. Volunteers scan, log a walk or feeding, and move on. No app download, no training.
Named sponsorship, automated gratitude
Donors sponsor a specific animal by name. Mooshi sends the thank-you, the progress update, and when the animal is adopted, a personal email with a family photo and basic adopter info (with their permission). You just save animals.
The sponsorship moment
Sponsor Pepper's adoption fee. Get a thank-you the next morning.
That's the product. A donor picks an animal by name, contributes toward their fee, and Mooshi handles the rest — receipt, thank-you email, progress updates, and when the animal finds a home, a personal thank-you with a family photo and basic adopter info (if the adopter opts in). No staff time. Real connection.

For shelters
One platform that does what five used to
Built for small-to-mid rescues and humane societies that intake 500 to 5,000 animals a year. If your staff counts in single digits and your budget is a prayer, this is for you.
Why it's called Mooshi
Meet Marshmallow.
The original Mooshi.
A couple of years ago I adopted a Great Pyrenees mix from a local shelter. His name was Marshmallow — Mooshi for short. The shelter ran on spreadsheets, sticky notes, and a prayer. I saw firsthand how hard it was to keep track of animals, coordinate volunteers, and connect with the people who wanted to help.
Mooshi is named after the dog who showed me what shelters actually need — and what the animals waiting inside them deserve. He's currently asleep on the couch.
